Robert Parker: The 2001 Tignanello is an object lesson in how to make Cabernet work with Sangiovese, the two varieties balancing and enhancing one another in admirable symbiosis. (The percentage of Cabernet, in fact, was reduced from the previous 20% to 15% in this vintage, an important sign - I hope - of how the wind is blowing.) A blackish ruby, its perfectly focused plum and cassis fruit, given an additional complexity by notes of sweet herbs and saddle leather, is fully and completely shaped in flavors of impeccable volume, roundness, and depth, caressing and powerful and with an additional power on the close which promises another 15 years of gratifying drinking.
병 브리딩 1시간후 서서히 피어오르는 넘…오우~ 대단하다…. 삼나무, 소나무, 베리향, 미네랑향이 파워풀한 수퍼토스칸을 보여준다. 카쇼가 첨부되어 뭐랄까… 전형적인 산지오베제
와인보다 좀더 모던하다고나 할까… 좋다 ^^

The first Super Tuscan, this great Cabernet allies a dense core of pure, ripe black currant fruit flavors and aromas with smoky notes of cedar, tobacco and vanilla to a refined supporting acidity and a sleek, finely integrated tannic structure. The wine should be kept at an ideal temperature of about 14-16. This 2002 vintage has an average ageing potential for Sassicaia: although the structure is rich and resistant, this wine should not be left to age for extremely long time.
The Wine Enthusiast Not the best vintage for Sassicaia enthusiasts or collectors, but certainly noteworthy thanks to defined herbal aromas such as rosemary and sage backed by black plum, black berry, tobacco, cigar box and leather. The mouthfeel is velvety and supple with unmistakable elegance delivered over a long, menthol-like finish. Score: 90. —Monica Larner, September 01, 2006.

Aromas of sweet tobacco and plum with hints of cigar box. Medium- to full-bodied, with sweet fruit and a silky texture. Herbal. Lovely caressing wine, but I expect a little more from Sassicaia. Best after 2006. 15,000 cases made.

WS 94 Points - Beautiful aromas of summer fruits and hints of cream. Then turns to dried Provençal herbs, such as rosemary. Well-defined Sass. Full-bodied, with sleek, refined tannins and a silky finish. All in finesse. Classy wine. Almost chewy. Reminds me of the excellent 1997, but this is slightly better. Give it time. Best after 2008. 15,000 cases made. (JS) Oct 15, 2004

언제 이런와인을 마셔볼까…. 소믈리에가 말도없이 바로 디켄커를 가져다 준다. 소믈리에에게 조금이지만 한잔 따라주는 센스!!! 2시간이 지났어도 잘 않핀다. 그래도 기다린다. 뭐 우린…시간은 많다. 2시간쯤 지났을까… 미네랄 향으로 서서히 피기 시작하더니 어디서 많이 맡아본 향과 맛이다. 맞다… 이게 블랙커런트 향이다. 사실 어제 그 향을 맡았었다. 암튼… 그 뒤에 올라오는 온갖 나무향이 난다. 삼나무, 소나무 향이 나지만 티냐넬로와는 사뭇 다르다.
담번에 마신 사시까이야 세컨과 비교하니 이넘은 발란스가 좋다. ….
하지만 기대한 사시까이야의 명성이 이게달까…하는 생각을 해본다. 다시한번 마셔봐야 겠다. 기회가 온다면…. ㅎㅎ

우린 편하게 귀달이라고 부른다. 의외로 좋다. 성격급한 우리를 위해 빨리피고 카쇼특유의 향과 기름진 첫맛(오크향인데 난 이렇게 부른다)이나고 달콤하고(달지는 않다) 베리향이 아주 좋다.
가격대 성능비로 보면 귀달이 승!!! 하지만 발란스는 역시 사시까이야가…. ^^

바닐라향과 오늘은 왜 않나오나 했다. 약간의 동물향…이어지는 가죽향… 고급가죽이 아니다.
내가 원했던 루비똥 가방에서 나오는 그런 향은 아니다. 가진것도 없는 넘이 너무 좋은거 찾는다고 뭐라하지 마라… 남의 가방에서 맡은 거다. ㅎㅎ

마지막으로 마신넘… 산미가 좀 강하다고 느꼈는데…옆에계신 고수는 산미가 없다고 한다. 음… 역시 와인은 갈길이 아직 멀다. 초코렛향으로 시작하는 맛은 좋은데 발란스가 좀 모자라다…. ㅡ.ㅡ
