우아~ 미국피노누아가 이리도 섬세할줄....피는데만 2시간 걸렸지만 참고 참고 또참은것에 대한 보답이라도 하듯 은은한 꽃향과 신기하게도 꿀향이 난다.

Penner-Ash Wine Cellars

가족단위의 프리미엄급 와인을 생산하고 있는 페너 아쉬 와이너리는 렉스힐(Rex Hill)의 와인 메이커였던 린 페너 아쉬(Lynn Penner Ash)와 그녀의 남편인 론 페너 아쉬(Ron Penner Ash)에 의해 설립되었으며, 2000년 그들의 첫번째 빈티지를 생산하였고, 몇 년 후 2003년에는 8에이커의 대지를 구입 해 자신들의 첫번째 묘목을 심게 되었다.

패너 아쉬는 주의 깊게 재배된 피노 누아와 시라 품종을 사용하고 있으며, 그 생산량을 제한해 최상의 프리미엄급 와인을 생산하고 있다. 또한 포도 재배를 위해 각각의 고유한 업무를 분담, 여타의 포도 생산에 필요한 각가지 제반 사항들을 가장 적절하고 효율적인 방법으로 해나가고 있다.

현재 린과 론은 리본 로드(Ribbon Road)에 자리하고 있는 그들의 포도원을 경작하고 있으며, 그 중 20에이커에서 피노 누아를 재배하고 있고, 또한 세븐 스프링(Seven Spring), 팔머 크릭(Palmer Creek), 쉐(Shea) 등의 밭에서 나온 원주를 사용해 와인을 만들기도 한다.

후추향, 커런트, 베리향의 스파이스향이 많이 나며 부드러운 탄닌과 적당한 산도를 가진 와인이다. 2010년까지 즐길 수 있다.

 

이놈은 빨리핀다.난 이런놈이 좋다. 은은하고 발란스도 좋고 색만보면 피노누아가 아닌데 맛은 피노누아가 맞다. 산미가 좀 되서 그런지 술술 잘 넘어간다. 좋다

오늘의 하일라이트...걱정이 앞섰다. 늘 메인이 밟히는 것을 봤으니....

보르도 느낌이다. 알마비바와 맛이 비슷하다. 캬쇼를 즐겨마시지 않지만 은은하고 적절한 산도와 탄닌이 발란스를 잘 맞춰준다. 오늘은 밣히지 않았다. ㅎㅎ

테이스팅 노트 

 어두운 자주색을 띠며 베리, 체리, 커런트 향 위에 꽃과 향신료의 향이 은은하게 느껴지고 집중, 대담, 풍성, 진한 맛을 느낄 수 있는 와인이다. 

Bordeaux-like in its structure and balance, showing cedary oak, dusty berry, dried currant and mineral, with hints of herb and sage. The flavors firm up on the finish, and this is rich and intense without being heavy. Needs decanting. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Best from 2009 through 2015 WINE SPECTATOR SCORE 90

사실 젤 기대했던 놈인데....병밑으로 윤혁이 주먹이 다 들어갈정도다. 병만보면 꼭 샴페인병만하다. 평판이 아주 좋아던 와인인데....의외다. 쉬라에서 따나 느낌이 난다고해서 맛보니 진짜 따나맛이 난다. 뭐야~~~ 너무 독해서 그런가?

군대 다녀온 분만 마실수 있다는 군대진판델~

느낌좋고 향좋고 맛좋고 발란스만 안좋고.....전작이 훌륭해서인지 좀 밀린다.

진판델만의 찌릿한 느낌이 좀 아쉽다.ㅋ

"Bold, flavorful, and smooth, Kunde Estate's 2005 Zinfandel is like the American West where it grows. It's flavors are up-front, straightforward, and sure of themselves, just what you would want in a good ranch hand mending your fences and herding your cattle. Boysenberry, cardamom, pepper, and a hint of chocolate combine to make a distinct wine that is instantly enjoyable. You might want to think about fresh greens with roasted beets and goat cheese, followed by some slow-cooked smoky ribs. Don't forget the napkins - this is good, messy eatin!"
