Tasting notes:

 

The deep ruby red colour is almost opaque, and the bouquet emerges a little at a time, with refinement and elegance, to revela hints of cooked prunes, raspberry preserves, and currant and white chocolate syrup to reach a finale in which scents of various spices complete the fragrance.

To the taste, it expresses bold, lenghty suggestions of black currant and ripe black cherry, while the body is soft, round, full, excity and thick, with a finale that is velvety and persistent.

 

Ca'viola라는 이탈리아 피에몬테에 위치한 90년대 이후의 와이너리로서 돌체토로 유명한 돌리아니(Dogliani)지역에 위치하고 있으며 역사도 일천하며 포도밭의 면적또한 10헥타에 불과하지만 오너이자 메이커인 쥬세뻬 까비올라 (Giuseppe Caviola)의 '진보하는와인'에 대한 열망과 철학, 노고만은 이미 그가 만들어낸 수많은 3 글라스의 와인들로 증명된바 있습니다. Ca'Viola BRIC du LUV Langhe Rosso (Barbera Nebbiolo) Piemonte - 2003

 

김미경소믈리에께 한가지 배운것은 레드와인도 차갑게 마시면 맛난다는 것을 이 와인에게서 얻었다. 약 12도 정도로 맞춰 서빙했는데 오크향이 일반 이태리와는 사뭇다른느낌. 프랑스바릭을 사용했단다.  은은하고 바르베라 특유의 신선한 과일양이 시원하게 느껴지고 뒤 여운에서 네비올로의 느낌이 그대로 느껴진다. 딱 5%섞었다는데도 말이다.... 그 발란스가 예술이다.

그리 맛난 와인이었는데 다시 마셔보니 발란스에 약간 문제를 느낌.

초콜렛과 오크의 향은 아주 좋았다

깊은 체리색을 띠며 선홍빛과 파란빛이 비치며 밝게 빛난다. 코에 가져다 대면 대단한 깊이를 느낄 수 있으며 복잡하면서도 향기로운 기품이 드러난다. 상당한 신맛과 탄닌이 특징적이며 뒷맛의 여운이 약간 쓴맛으로 끝난다. 현재 스페인 왕실에서 비즈니스 접대 및 행사용으로 사용되고 있을 정도로 세계적인 와인이다. 숙성된 복잡한 향기와 균형 잡힌 과일맛이 특히 매력적이다.
